Becoming a barber takes a lot of time and dedication, but is a very rewarding career. Here is a list of resources that potential barbers should review prior to committing to become a Barber.

  • Read the Laws and Regulations that govern Barbering in Mississippi
  • Review the Curriculum and understand the time and commitment it takes to become a Barber
  • Find a School of Barbering. Please take some time to find one that is near you, and works into your schedule
  • After you have completed your Curriculum (1500 hours), then you can apply for your examination and request for a permit to work in a barber shop
